Mft3 was made about 10cm taller than mft1080 that got a lot of criticism for its low height.
How is your mft3 working for you? About right, too tall, too short? Particularly for a 6 ft (183 cm) person working with primarily power tools.
After working on saw horses for so many years I appreciate the added height of the MFT/3 for the operations that I can perform on it. For larger sheet operations I resort to the sawhorses or foam on the floor to extend my reach.
I have both the MFT1080 and a Basis (early CMS), I'm 6'4" and I find that both of them are too low. I prefer working at the higher level that my saw bench is at.
I'm rather average in height with 6'1" but I find I rather enjoy a higher workbench. Currently using my own version of the MFT/Sysport which is about 903cm high. It will be even higher once my mft top gets delivered and mounted.
Using mostly powertools, my handtool work is limited to one bench plane and some chisels...I would imagine for handtool work a lower bench would be better.
