Micro Cleaning Kit

I just got my CT22 today.  So far, it connects to all the tools I have tried thus far.  A couple are a bit tight, but I think they will work.

The one thing I wasn't able to connect was the micro cleaning kit I have.  I have included a link below so you can see what I'm talking about.  It would be very handy to have for cleaning out tools and getting into tight spots.  I measured the adapter in the micro cleaning kit and the outside diameter is 1 7/16" and the inside diameter is 1 1/4".  Anybody else find an adapter that will work with this?

Piece of plastic pipe with internal diameter 36 mm or 1 7/16" will resolve this issue (cost $0-$20). Another option is to buy  Festool's or non Festool 36mm hose. 36 mm hoses work much better for saws, routers, planer or just for floor clean up $20-$150). The third option is to buy one of the Festool's clean up sets. They usually go with systainer, 36 mm hose and bunch of other attachments ($140-$235).

I believe the Fein Hose Adapter will solve this:

I have two of them.  They fit on the end of the D27 perfectly.  One is cut down to fit my Makita belt sander.  I use the other for a multitude of tools including drywall sanders, Rotozip, and other tools with a dust port.

It's covered in detail (with pics) on the second page of my Makita Belt Sander review on Brice's web site: http://www.burrellcustomcarpentry.com/subpage37.html.    It's $5.85 on Amazon.  I bought both of mine at Seattle Woodcraft.

Regards,

Dan.

Dan, awesome recommendation.  This little puppy runs about $5.00 and is a savior.  I found it about 2 months ago browsing the web late at night and immediately brought in 10 for stock.  They were gone in a week.  Invaluable tool and very cheap to boot.

Any place to pick these up in Canada?

I'll ship to ya.  Give me a postal code and I can get you an estimate USPS rate.

Thanks to Sean for offering, but the cost to ship to Canada was more than what I wanted in product.

I was able to find the Fein adapters at a local place, but had to wait a few weeks until they got their Fein order in.  Glad to say it was worth the wait as I was able to cut the adapters to the right fit and everything fits nice and snug now.  No more having to fumble with electrical tape :)
