Anyone that has the Microfence Festool interface for the guide rail feel free to chime in.

I got the interface last week and I just started to set it up, I've located my holes in the Microfence router plate and it seems that the scews the provided are just no long enough nor do they fit the holes in the OF 1400 router plate itself.  Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?  I've counter sunk the screw as deep as I could comfortably go.

Also, since the hole in the base plate of the router does not match the hole in microfence plate, how did you guys go about accurately locating the holes to attach the Microfence plate to the OF1400 base?

you need to use the guide that comes with the microfence base.  Its a small silver disk that fits into the center hole of the microfence base and the base of the of 1400.  That centers it to drill out for your mounting screws.  Or microfence will drill it for you if you wanty when you order it for 25.00.

Wayne,

I understand how that works but when you remove the base from the router you have to center that on the hole along with the bushing insert that are not attached to each other.  So you have to do your best to center the router base on the bushing insert after you place the bushing insert on the "silver disk" guide.  Is this how you did it?  Also what about the screws?

I didn't find that the instructions gave enough information.  It didn't say which screws to use.  I have so many freaking microfence parts that when I unpackaged everything I made the mistake of not separating everything.  For all I know I could be using the wrong screw and the instructions don't say which one to use.

By the way, how is your back?
