Microsoft Internet Explorer version 9

not that I'm too keen on windows myself, but Windows 8 looks to be radically different from everything out there including previous windows versions. not saying it's good or bad.

There will be two user interfaces, the traditional desktop with icons and the new?? tile interface (with a lot of stuff that looks like Windows Media Center) and full screen apps.

Kind of funny that Apple has this big announcement at WWDC about the new full screen apps and the split on screen keyboard. Microsoft announced the same two feature at D9 a week or so before WWDC.

Ya wow full screen applications. Hasn't that always been around on windoze? at least the browser. with my mac i get these layers of windows all over the place. Do you think its worth the $30 to upgrade to Lion and be on par with 1990's tech?

I want a linux machine

The more i read about Linux the more I like it. No giant corporation plugging more of their nonsense into it, it's mainly developed by the community and yourself really. Linux is thinking for yourself.

Depends upon your hardware. If you have a decent machine (nothing fancy but a reasonably modern machine) nothing beats IE9. It uses hardware acceleration and for a lot of graphics like maps, 3D graphics, images, animation it is way faster, Chrome and Firefox are now adding those features onto theirs. You can see a side by side comparison here
. I am using IE9 as my only browser on Win7 and love it.

I went back from IE9 to IE8 on my PC with vista because I really did not like how they moved the favourites. (I do use ie9 on my netbook with windows7)

They moved the star icon to open the favourites folder to the right side, instead of just leaving it on the left.  (The star icon with the arrow that adds the current website to the favourites bar remains on the left, but on my vista pc, it added the sites to the end of the favourites bar, very annoying)
