Here is a basement bathroom I did last year. Went back a couple of weeks ago to work on another project so I was finally able to take finished pictures of the bath.

That is a lot of tile for my taste but it does look high quality mate!  I really like the "mini coffer" on the ceiling there. Is that all drywall or did you use any wood in that?

Cheers. Bryan.

At least they were educated enough to put Travertine in its proper place. Most people here want to do slate and the most porous limestone available. LOL!

Yeah the blue was not to my taste but it was nice to do something that wasn't common or conventional. The 2" blue glass tile cost a lot when he bought it for a Architect specified shower. Which is why he felt compelled to use it plus he likes the color! My friend that I did the work for is a Builder and a good portion on the tile was left over from several of his jobs.

The ceiling was all Azek including the mouldings. I haven't done a proper coffered ceiling in a long time so I suggested the abridged version as the ceiling is only 7'. It was a fun job that kept challenging me through out the project.

I'm going to post some of my tiles jobs as I finally organized my albums. This was a three season porch we built and tiled.

Nice work, been tiling myself all this week and don't my knees know it. Always good though to look back when you have finished and see the results.

When I do big tile floors especially on concrete I use furniture dollies to kneel on as well as put the mud bucket on. I put pads on them so I can roll around and take some of the pressure off my knees.

Nice tip, also sounds like fun!
I take my hat off to the guys that tile all the time, as cleaning up all the muck and the tools soon gets old at the end of a hard day.

I don't tile full time but I got started in the trades working for a tile man. I bought a bucket cleaner that gets chucked into the drill and a couple of minutes later the bucket is clean. It also helps to clean the bucket between mixes so there isn't a big build up at the end of the day. I use Laticrete 255 multimax thinset most of the time and it's very easy to cleanup unlike the 254 which makes you want to throw the buckets in trash!

Curt great job on that shower that is a lot of tile, very clean job . I like scribing against the stone in the three season room, must have been tedious!

Thanks for the kind words Mikey, I like scribing whether it's tile or wood. Here is a kitchen backsplash I did 12 years ago when the goal was to freshen up the kitchen. The first three pictures are of the tile done 12 years ago. Then three years ago we gutted the kitchen and started with a clean slate. It's a weird feeling removing your own work and yet it's fun to do the same thing with a different twist!
Cheers
