I'm looking at getting a Milwaukee M12 cid fuel 12v impact driver (the brushless one with a belt hook) and wondered if it will fit in a t-loc sys 1, will the lid close with the driver laid down or will I need to get a sys 2?

Thank you Chris, your reply has swung it, I will be buying a new driver and a new t-loc for it to live in.

I have six of the M12s and used to keep them in two systainer Is.  I bought a five drawer systainer from Lee Valley and the tools fit perfectly in the large drawers and the accessories  in the small drawers.  As a side note the round Milwaukee impact bit assortment is great as are the drill bit sets for the impact driver.

Awesome! Your gonna love the Fuel. Great little guns with a ton of power. I keep my M12 rotary and multitools in a Sys 1 and my cordless ryobi 18v nailer with charger and batteries in a sys 2

I have at least one of each M12 driver, and multiples of several. I really love these little guys and plan to put them into one or more systainers for 'site' use and storage. I'll post when I do.

I might have to look into the 5-drawer systainer that RST mentioned. Sounds like a winner to me?!

Having second thoughts on the milwaukee driver, going on some posts I have read it sounds like the milwaukee M12 slope is as slippery as the festool one!

Well.....I AM a Milwaukee guy but...my fiancé bought me the TS55REQ for Christmas. Now....Carvex, T15+3, TI15, MFT/3, rails, clamps, drill bits.....bye bye $$$$$$$$. I have sold almost all of my Milwaukee stuff to finance my addiction to this dastardly demon called Festool. I kept my Milwaukee plunge router kit.....it's awesome. My M12 Rotary and M12 Multi, and my M18 work light with a battery (I'll end up getting the Fuel circular saw). My last sale was my brand spanking new Milwaukee M12 Fuel drill driver. I kept the batteries for my cutters and sold the drill.  I loved that gun. But my T15 is a sweet compact drill that does everything I want it to do. Kind of a pain in the butt for bits...I still have a ton of the standards but they don't work in the Centrotec chuck without the adapter. I'm slowly getting my bit collection going though!

That's just a nasty rumor, with no truth behind it at all! Total HogWash!!

I started with the 3-tool M12 kit (drill, driver hackzall). Then I got another one. And that's where it ended.

Except for the additional purchase of a Heated Jacket.

Oh, and:

3/8" Fuel Square Drive Impact Wrench
1/4" Fuel Square Drive Impact Wrench
3/8" Square Drive Impact Wrench
1/4" Hex Impact Driver (OK, 3 of them)
1/4" Hex ScrewDriver (OK, 3 of those, too)
3/8" Right Angle Drill
3/8" Hammer Drill/Driver
1/2" Fuel Hammer Drill/Driver
3/8" Ratchet
PVC Shear ( a great tree-branch trimmer, btw!)
ProPEX Expansion Tool
High Performance Jig Saw
Rotary Tool
Grease Gun
Caulk Gun (Both 10 oz. and 20 oz. versions)
Multi-Tool
CLAMP-GUN™ Cordless Clamp Meter
Fork Meter
M-Spector 360 Digital Inspection Camera

Well...err...um.. it looks like I might have the 'red' version of "SittingElf' disease?

Thanks to posts like this [scared] I recently became interested in the M12 line and got one of the M12 Fuel impact driver kits with a promotional free xc battery.  It looks like the Milwaukee promotions are not universal, but rather they are limited to certain dealer/distributors and even vary in what is offered.  Has anyone noticed this and is there a way to find out who is having a promotion other than going to each dealer or website to check?

Also, did anyone see the offering in the UK for the M12 4 in 1 Drill Driver System?  Think this was inspired by Festool?

I sent a message to Milwaukee about when/if this might be available in the US, but they said "If we offer a similar product it will be launched on the USA website first.  We do not offer new product information until it is launched on our website".

I'm a big fan of Milwaukee's M12 system.  Super handy & compact but deceptively powerful for their size.

I have two impacts, the drill/driver, driver, right angle, hackzall, and the radio (if that counts).

It all started with one tool.  Definitely a slippery slope but worth it.

Not sure about that other than being on company email lists. And as far as being inspired by Festool? NO DOUBT!!!!
What would be cool is:
1- the driver heads are universal to Festool and
2- they have a centrotec type chuck that accepts  standard bits!!!

deepcreek,
I already have my eye on the Fuel Hackzall!

ChrisK1970,
I guess I'll have to sign up for some more email lists!  If the 4 in 1 becomes AINA, Festool compatibility would be cool, but I really doubt it would ever happen.

I keep pushing for Festool to release the PDC in NA, but if that 4-in1 gets here first it's quite likely that I will *HAVE* to buy one and then I will NEVER own the Festool drills.

Like I said in another thread, I'm sure that's not gonna keep them up at night or anything, but it it's both frustrating and avoidable.

Sad, really...

Looking over that polisher it sounds like it is supposed to be purpose built and not just a hack job of the screwdriver they have. I honestly don't need it but Home Depot is offering the Fuel Impact M12 kit for $114 and that might be worth a jab at. I've been going back and forth all day on it!

That does look like a great deal for the impact driver.  I just bought one at an online dealer for the higher price, but I got a free 4 amp xc battery on promotion so I guess I still did OK.  I wish Home Depot would offer the Hackzall kit at that price.

The Milwaukee hackzall is great I frequently cut off 1/2" bolts and aluminum...I'm not even sure where my hacksaw resides anymore!!
