Mini First Aid Systainer Orders and Payments *DEADLINE 2-20-2015*

The final count for the Mini First Aid Systainer Orders is a nice, round 50!!! Way to go FOGgers!

I am still looking into the possibility of somehow being able to offer the orange T-Loc systainers, but it may be a few more days until I have an answer.*IF* I can I will start a new thread.

Fwiw, I purchased this Systainer from Lee Valley. It took about 3-4 months to receive it. Lee Valley was great to deal with, once they received it from Germany, they called me up, took payment over the phone and I received it 4 days later.[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

That's interesting. Latches and labels to boot.

So basically the wait  is timed to when Lee Valley places an order with Tanos in Germany? Could be as little as transit time of a few weeks if ordered just before a major shipment.

Was the price in line with normal systainer pricing?

Seth

Seth,
Just to clarify the issue. The insert was from an original Systainer that I modified to fit the T-Loc version. The labels I made. The latch & handle are both black.

You are correct on the ordering/shipping thing. When I ordered this, Lee Valley had just placed a large order with Tanos, so I had to wait until they placed another order. For me it was 4 months, for someone else it may be 2-3 weeks, just the luck of the draw.

It was actually considered to be a special order by Lee Valley but I think there was only about an additional $5-10 up-charge for the item.

The Systainer I purchased from Lee Valley was a #2 size. The increased depth allows for the cord and accessories to be more easily stored inside. I've also done this with the Trion, Carvex and the Sys MFT.  It takes little additional space, while allowing a lot more items to be stored in the same container.

Sorry for my delay in responding, but I just got out of the hospital again. At least this time was only 5 days...

I was just informed late last week that the delivery of the Systainers from Germany had slipped to mid May. I will post an update here when I have something definitive - like a shipping date and guesstimated delivery date?

In the meantime I have the printers on notice, but they won't put us on the schedule until I actually have the product on hand.

I have also contacted a company to make a custom corrugated carton for them so I can just put the mini-systainer in the box and seal it up without needing to wrap it otherwise. This will allow me to package them much more quickly, and possibly get them out a day or two sooner.

More to come, but probably not for a while

Yeah, that's what I keep telling the Doctors.

We have a new plan that involves the implantation of a complicated ICD/PaceMaker/Monitoring device that should hopefully prevent or at least minimize the frequency and severity of these episodes. And I've added three new drugs to my pharmacy, so I now take 31 pills every day instead of the 26 I was taking.

And hopefully the experimental treatment that I got in January will start helping me soon...

Any updates on delivery?

I don't get by the forum much these days, but I stopped in to see if there were any updates on the mini first aid systainers.  I was a little concerned by wow's lack of activity--I know he's had some health problems recently, and I just wanted to ask if he's okay.  Has anyone heard anything?

I know this is a gentle subject so I will be as polite as possible.

Is there a plan by the estate to finis the Mini First Aid Systainer project? Is there a contact point for this?

If not, then it may be appropriate to file a claim with the estate.

Bernie

WOW unfortunately passed away.

This is a post from Andrea, his daughter, from May 7th:

My dad had sold a bunch of mini-systainer first aid kits, which we still plan to complete and ship.  It will take some time, but we believe we have most, if not all, of the information needed.  We may need to ask questions on the group to locate everyone and confirm information.

I too had paid for one, but am not concerned too much about it. If they do end up finishing them and shipping thats great, if not I hope they can use the money for a charitable cause they see fit.
