First of all, I want to apologize for the delay getting this out.  For those of you who were not aware, WOW passed away April 29th and this is his daughter, Andrea.

We are aware that many of you sent money to his Paypal account, in order to receive the Mini-Systainer First Aid kits.  We still plan to complete this project and get you the kits.
Currently, the Systainers themselves have crossed the Atlantic into Canada.  We are working on getting them shipped into the US.  I have the list of medical supplies and will be ordering those.  We have to get the kits and latches screenprinted, then we will complete the kits and ship them.  I will not lie, it's still going to be a while as we are trying to deal with everything, but we will get it done.

What I need from everyone who ordered them is a message to me here on the FOG containing your screen name and your shipping address!!
I have all of the "paid" screen names, but I don't know the trick of getting the addresses out of Paypal, and it will take me until next July to sort through the 4000 e-mails in my dad's business accounts!

We will be honoring the deal he made with all of you, and we hope you will treasure the systainers as he truly delighted in making them.

I may be slow getting back to you, so don't panic if you don't hear from me right away.  Closing out the estate and his business at the same time while also working at our jobs is more than nuts, so please forgive the delay.

I am sorry I haven't gotten back to everyone earlier, but we have not forgotten about you, nor do we intend to not fulfill the deal that was made.

Thank you.

No apologies needed Andrea, there was never a doubt that WOW's legacy and desire to help others would live on! I can assure you I will truly treasure it whenever you are able to complete them as I know it was a labor of love for your father.

It's truly heart warming to see how WOW's legacy lives on through the integrity of his family.

Hats off gentlemen!

Andrea,
Thanks for the update- it will definitely be treasured once completed and received, just as the larger kit has that I purchased from your father.  I think of him each day I use it- which has been a little more often lately, including yesterday- we are all better off because of him.

Regards,
Gerald

Andrea,
My deepest condolences to your family on your loss.  I've spent some time away from the forum and this is the first I've heard of this.  I participated in the first run of the first aid kits he produced and I'm grateful he did it.  While safety is a huge aspect of consideration when I'm working with power tools, I seldom gave any thought to what I would do in the event that I failed in some way.  Thanks to your father, that is no longer the case, and I'm sure I'm not alone.  Reading his banter and enthusiasm on these forums was quite entertaining and his presence will be missed by many.  There is a great cast of characters on these forums and all with a good heart (you know what I mean), your father was among the best of them!

I'm sure I'm not alone in this offering, but if there is any way I can be of service, either in helping to complete this run of first aid kits or in some other fashion, please feel free to PM me.  Once again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Kits are being built now!  We are putting them together, and hopefully have all the various parts and pieces.  There were some errors in the supply order, and we believe we may finally have everything corrected.  We hope to be shipping in the next two weeks!

Again, thank you SOOOOO much for the patience...this has not been an easy process, and we are very sorry for all the delays.  I will message individual members of this group when their kit ships, so that we make sure they all find their way home.  ;)

Hi Andrea and Mrs. WOW,

I hope you and your family were able to have a nice Thanksgiving today.
I saw an old post from WOW in one of the forums this week and he was on my mind after that.
Wayne was a really generous and helpful presence on the FOG and he is definitely missed.

All my best- and I know I speak for a lot of FOGgers- to you and yours,
Dave

I just got notified that yesterday it shipped! I would like to say thank you to wow's family for all the work that went into this thing and I will post pictures as well. I will cherish it along with the original first aid kit that WOW made and have it onsite all the time.

But I am patient and thankful that those get done at all....

I concurr...kudos to Andrea for even attempting to put this puzzle back together. Early on I offered my assistance because I live within 20-30 miles of her, but she soldiered on and here we are. [big grin]

Agreed 100%! Mine is scheduled to arrive on Thursday as well.

I just received my kit- Many Thanks to Andrea and all of WOW's family for following through and doing such a wonderful job!  Very pleased and thankful.  Rest assured that Wayne's memory will live on for a long time.

Merry Christmas!

Gerald

Here ya go...as Jackie Gleason used to say, "How sweet it is".

Kudos and thanks to Andrea and whoever else, that helped bring this project to fruition.

The really nice feature is this Systainer is marked on all 4 sides so that finding it when it's needed will be easy. Can you believe all the "stuff" that's packed in here?

Mine arrived today! I spent a few minutes alone in the shop reflecting on WOW and what this kit means. I really never knew the guy other than his posts here and the hard work he did on these first aid kits. The good book says that you will know people by their actions, so based on that, I can say I knew WOW. I will never use a band aid out of either of my kits without feeling a fond remembrance of the brief time I can say I knew him.

Measure accurately and keep your tools sharp WOW, we all miss you!

Amen...WOW is the reason I officially joined the FOG rather than being the lurker that I was for the previous 6 years. He's had a serious impact on all of us.

So glad everyone is getting their kits!!  I appreciate all the offers for help, just so you know I didn't forget about you guys offering to help - but I actually live in Thief River Falls, MN (75 miles south of Canada border), so no one was really that close!!!  lol  I built the kits while indulging in a Netflix marathon....gave me some nice couch time.  [big grin]
If anyone is interested, I have nine more mini-systainer first aid kits to sell, and possible one or two of the big ones.  I am guessing I need to start a new post to keep track, but am not sure which thread to do that under...would I do that here?
Am I allowed to auction off the big kits (I may only have one left!)?  Is that okay?  I would like to give my mom the proceeds, but I don't know if that is okay on here!  Please advise!!
Thanks for all the help and support, and most of all for everyone's patience!  I really appreciate it - and am grateful all of you got to know my dad even a little.  I am so happy to see this little piece of him will stay out in the world!
Andrea
P.S.  Next round of mini-kits ships on 12/21....many of you that ordered two will be in this round...I had to find boxes that were the right size  [tongue]

Andrea, I just wanted you to know that your work is very much appreciated on the first aid kits.  While I never met your father in person, we did exchange messages from time to time.  From those interaction, I know that he would be very proud of you and the work you have done to complete his "work" on the mini-first aid kits.  Nice job! I look forward to receiving mine as I am in the next group as I ordered two kits.  As someone else mentioned, I will always remember your father whenever I open or use something from one of the first aid kits.    Merry Christmas and again thank you for your excellent work.
