hi guys

has anyone adapted there ctl mini to use diffrent (read cheaper) bags for big chips?

when im using the ehl65 i can fill a bag quick when fitting doors etc and the bags are around 2.50£ each.

if theres no reuasble bags that will fit what about cutting up a bag to fit over the filters then letting the chips land in the bottom of the tank? will it work

i will still use the bag for fine dusts but its killing my pocket when planing, ive emptied a bag a few times thru the hole but its PITA

throw in a trash can with a cyclone lid before the vac to capture the large chips.

Check out thein baffle easy to make never buy another dust bag.

I just buy the bags for my minis but Ibought the reusable for the ct26

i dont really want any added cans/boxes as i need flexability on site

i found a post from Deansocial saying he uses hepa bags for henry hoover, could be on to a winner

festool bag =£2.64 each
hepa bag =  49pence each

thats a massive £2.15 on each bag

thats right i us the hepa bags for henry or george in my midi and they work great. Just just have to cut some of the plastic off the bag to use them. Must have used 100 of them by now

speed, when you cut only big chips with a planer, you can use the mini without a bag.

That hadn't occurred to me Alex...great tip, thanks. [thumbs up]

got me some hepa bags today [big grin]

i cut a bit of plastic off the left  as it would have hit the side of the tank, is that correct?
its a tight fit over the inlet but seams ok so far (i only cut some skirting and archrtave so far and rebated the archtrave backs) but its filling nicely

i can get 20 hepa bags for £10 that works out to around 4 festool bags, big savings to be had!

thats right its not much you have to cut off to be fair. They are tight to get on but at least you know they wont fall off.
