New CT MINI1 dust bag design flaw?

Anyone else notice this?
I’ve just started using my new MINI 1 and seriously loving it. But I’ve noticed for 3 bags now that it will only fill half the bag before starting to lose suction like they do when over filled. 
The old model had the dust intake into the bag at the opposite end of the bag from the suction at the filter so it naturally filled all the way across the bag until full. But the new model has the filter/suction on one side and the dust intake in the middle so theres no suction draw on the other half of the bag because the bag will pack itself full up to the intake port before filling the other side of the bag.
Unless I’m just emptying it to soon and should just let it keep packing slowly this seems like a design flaw.

I figure at around half full I can take the bag out and shake the dust into the far side to free up the suction half, or learn to tip and shake the machine every once in a while. That really wouldn’t be hard to do but I’m just surprised at the design choice.
 
I don't know the newer CT Mini & Midi's yet, but the same thing happened to the older models of which I owned 3 by now. It is really a pity.
 
I have the New MiniI as well.  I have found that the vacuum will suck right up until the bag is stuffed full and dust begins to fill up the hose.

The suction does drop as the bag fills, but I've never used a vac of any size/quality where this isn't the case. Depending on the nature of the dust it can happen quicker or slower as the bag clogs up.
I have found the filter clean function (aka filter bag cleaning function) does a good job at increasing suction levels again.

I also think that one's evaluation of performance can vary depending on the situation. I use my vac all day in the workshop without issue, but when I'm cutting inside someones home I'm suddenly acutely aware of all the tiny particles that manage to escape the vacuum's draw.

Don't expect miracles from vacuums, it's a tough ask to suck up all that fine dirt all day long without letting any of it back into the air and maintaining full power at all times. . . but send in ideas on a post card if anyone has a better design :)

Well I’m under the impression a better design would be to have the dust port and filter on opposite sides of the bag. But so far there’s no reason for it not to fill up the hose when the bag fills up to the half way point where the hose is. I’ll have to just let it work harder to see if it does but I dont see what draw there is coming from the opposite side of the filter. Just seems like a very simple concept that intake and output should be on opposite sides, but ah well I guess.

I totally get your reasoning, and I don’t disagree, however I think there is suction moving air around the bag as mine does fill right up every time. I’m guessing that if I looked at the underside of the top half of the vacuum there is some kind of structure there that prevents the bag sucking right up onto the filter. Hence all allowing air flow to continue. This is guess work as I’m not near mine right now.
