I am slowly adding equipment to my shop planning for retirement. I have yet to add a planer and jointer. I have been using my track saw for sheet goods in place of a delta unisaw that is 15 years old. I have an opportunity to purchase a used minimax cu300 classic from another hobbyist. I have read all I can about this machine and it seems that it should be a good addition to add planing and jointing capability while providing a safe access to a table saw. The shaper and mortiser have never been used. I am seeking advice- pros and cons -- on this machine. Its a bigger purchase than I originally had planned.
