Incredibly smoooth. That's my first impression sanding with the New Mirka Deos 3.2" x 5.2" brushless direct electric orbital sander. I cannot stop smiling.

This rectangular Mirka Deos sander is going to be perfect for face frames, window sills, stairs, built-ins, and much much more.

Dust collection is phenomenal! Just look at that pad. 46 dust collection holes!

Paddle switch is variable speed. 5,000 rpm to 10,000 rpm adjustment made right on the tool which sets max rpm with paddle fully depressed.

Downside: Doesn't come in a Mirka systainer and cost.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- Huge thank you to Meyers Company out of Pittsburgh, PA for the fast shipping!

Cost: $431.10 shipped after discount applied

Use code 'imatoolaholic'

Rebate for free Abrasives, canvas bag, and antistatic hose as well.

It’s good to see Mirka finally released their own orbital.  None of the Canadian stores have them yet but it’s only a mater of time.

They sell 76-mm x 25M rolls of the abraidnet.
It seems a few mm too narrow for the hand pad, but offsetting works ok.
The Rolls are ~25$ so for the 200-mm hand pad it is 20 cents/sheet.

Kind of moronic is to get a roll of 180, 240, and 320 because the stuff lasts so long, but I got it anyhow.  [tongue] It might fit on the deos, but probably 0.2" too narrow...?

Having the 3x8" hand pad could round out your quiver?

...

I thought Mirka had been making sanders for a while?
(But more in air-powered or 230v)

Does that cord have a locking mech. on it ?

Looks like a IEC-320-c13 , and I wouldn't want one of those on my tools.

You can buy a Mirka systainer from AB's Gloves and Abrasives,  abglovesandabrasives.com ....  Mirka MIN6532011 - Sander Systainer Storage Case

Yes, has a lock on. Thumb press the move a rubber clip to remove the cable. It's secure.

Yup. Bummer this doesn't come in a systainer. Luckily I had purchased a spare a while back. [emoji1360]

Bigger bummer that “doesn’t come in Canada”.  Eventually they’ll fix that.
