I often, after I started my own biz, took on jobs that I had never experienced the methods of construction involved.  I enjoyed the challenge and ended up getting a lot of unusual projects just because i was willing to try new ideas.

That MO keeps me from getting bored but it doesn't bring in much money...

Per, this cute little house is for the guinea hens, or the vulture?

So, more bears or fewer at this new location?

Maybe it's for Per?

Everything just seems better around here with a Per Swenson thread in play. Glad to know Bob is still kickin' butt. When my step-father was in his early eighties he could still put 50 miles on a mountain bike. It was enlightening to see the young guys around the shop go from thinking of him as an old coot when he was in his seventies to 'wanting to be like him when I grow up" when he was in his eighties. He didn't change, they did.

When he finally did give up the mountain bike, a high-end Cannondale downhill design, he gave it to my daughter. The rear shock was not holding compression so she took it into a bike shop. They wondered how it was that she wound up with a bike of this caliber. The answer they totally were not expecting was, "I inherited it from my Grandfather." I want to be like Bob when I grow up.

The hardest thing about the adjustment is the sound and politeness factor.
Fellas , remember working all night to meet both deadline and budget? Never mind being
on edge 'cause the neighbors were gonna call the cops?
All changed.
That's right Naked wood working, with a fire to burn the scrap.

In New Jersey.
Who would a thunk?

Good to see you back, Per!  Just tell those turkeys Thanksgiving is coming - maybe they'll shape up!  [big grin]
