After two years of hand wringing, pouring over specs, demo'ing tools, stressing on decisions.... as of this week, I have completed every Festool tool purchase I can even dream of using for the coming years, and well into retirement.

This has been part of the goal of setting up my "LifeLong Woodshop" plan. Specifically, buying tools and equipment of the highest caliber that I don't ever expect to feel I need to upgrade or replace with better. My journey with Festool began with a simple CXS Drill purchase 23 months ago, after which I was SOLD on the Green!

The picture below shows all my systainers minus the HL850, TS75, and LS32 Set coming today and later this week. Also not pictured is my new Kapex, because try as I might, I couldn't fit it in a systainer! [big grin]

The only things I will need to purchase from here out, and beyond what I own already, are accessories and consumbables.....AND of course any NEW Festool tools they may introduce in the coming years that might be of interest! [tongue]  I still have to decide on either a metric or imperial accessory kit for my OF2200; that being the most expensive single final purchase to be made in the near term.

Of interest for purchase in the future would be a Sword Saw, 18V+ Impact Driver, and their Belt Sander if, and when they become available in the USA.  I have a number of NAINA items included in the systainers below that were purchased while my wife was stationed in Germany.

I can now take a break from big $$ purchases of Festool, and concentrate of filling the remaining heavy equipment needs to complete my LifeLong Shop.

Whew! All from a little CXS!  Newbies be warned! The Green Disease is insidious, and incurable! [scared]

Thank you Sean, Tom, Bob, Thomas (Germany), and to Amazon for a few quickies...all for your expert guidance and quick responses. And especially BOB for the incredible packing jobs his business does for shipments!! WOW!! [thumbs up]

Cheers,

Frank

That's impressive.  Congrats.  Don't try and of of the red... some of it complements the green REALLY nicely but hurts the pocket book a little bit more.

Pffrt, he doesn't even have sysports. Clearly one of the poorer guys on here.  [tongue]

Heh heh....

That's because I'm not lazy like some of you! [big grin]  I plan to BUILD Sys cabinets (SYS-AZ). I like options...and the sysports don't HAVE options!

I have a surprise up my sleeve as well. Something that a lot of you are going to be wanting from me regarding that issue!  It'll be awhile, but in the works... and you WILL want this item for your workshop builds! [tongue]

So.....pffft back atcha!! [poke] [poke]

Cheers,

Frank

Ya know Frank, I thought I was about done buying. But I still find myself picking up things. I don't think I'll ever be done. For example, I just got a HSX sanding pad and some foam backed sand paper. I'm looking for another drill.

I buy for need, I'm always needing something.

Here's a list of what is contained in all those Systainers!

I needed to compile this list to check what is properly registered with Festool both in the USA and in Germany, and for my insurance company.  Scared myself while I put it together!! [eek]

I imagine after two stacks she didn't notice more arriving...it's nice that they blend together isn't it...

I think it's brave to buy so much gear without having a basic use scenario based on practical experience. I guess that's where the Festool system idea comes into play, they done the leg work.. But still....

Good luck with your setup!

13 18V Batteries?!?!
I'd probably sell about 10 of them and buy more down the road as you need them. No sense in letting them go bad just sitting on the shelf.

Frank, where is the big ass boom arm you got if i remember correctly.....? Come on you are only showing half of the stuff...
