I'm researching miter saw options, and though I'd love to have a Kapex there is no way I can ever justify the expense, so I'm considering the Bosch 10" Axial, the new Bosch 8 1/2" or the Makita versions. Unfortunately, I have almost no way of testing any of the saws in person -- despite living in an area that has nearly 1 million people (no Festool around here, either, argh).
Any feedback is appreciated. My main uses right now are that it will augment my track saw. I'm still building my shop and am a beginning woodworker. I plan on building some furniture, like beds, dressers, nightstands, etc.
