I think the point of adding the poly was to increase finish hardness/durability but maybe it aids in other ways as well. What did you mix it with and how much?tjbnwi said:I tried it and had a few others give it a try. Works exceedingly well. Layout is great. I eliminated the Flotrol. No sheen shift with the poly like you get with Flotrol.

Cheese said:Tom I'm just curious...you're adding 5% poly while the video is adding 50% poly, why the huge difference? Doesn't 50% seem like an awful lot?
I always used a 10% max as a rule of thumb for either Penetrol, Floetrol or water.

I'm getting ready to experiment with some spraying of ProClassic through a Fuji Mini Mite 4 I picked up recently. Is the 5% poly all you are using for thinning?
Would the poly brand make any difference and what did you use?tjbnwi said:My goal is never to affect chemistry more than 5%.
Difference could be in the equipment and its ability to deliver a heavier/thicker product.

It's what I had on the shelf.

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member] and [member=43744]jyarbrou[/member] (and others) how has this mix of 5% poly worked for you? I am doing some trim and cabinet doors to start, so hard and quick cure are the name of the game...
cheers. Bryan.

Worked well for the little I used it. Paint cures hard.
