When I have to paint more than just a few pieces it becomes a game finding space in the shop many times having half a dozen spots around the shop like this

So today I decided to make a drying rack that can be stored away and/or transported should the need arise.  The "rings" are 16" long.  I'll be making a one sided rack next for bigger stuff like doors.

Went fairly fast using CA glue to lock in the rings fast.  Cheated and used my CNC mill to machine the strips with a forstner bit.  End product will make a huge difference.

Three spreader dowels allow me to make it narrower or wider as the sessions change.  Easily unlocks from the saw horse and moves around as a single assembly.  Could also sit on a bench, table, or floor (if you like bending over a hundred times.

Great idea to use your mitre saw stand as the base for your drying rack. Hopefully it works well for your needs.

I've been looking into these DeWalt sawhorses, the more I look around, the more uses appear.

- MFT horses
- drying racks
...

Looks like I need to spend the money rather sooner than later and get me some!

Great Idea and execution!

That's brilliant! I have a pair of these stands with the miter saw brackets since they didn't cost much more.  I never intended to put the miter saw on the stand, but the DIY possibilities are endless.

I really like your idea. I've been wanting to make a set of drying racks myself. I found these on YouTube that I was considering awhile back,
