I've recently picked up the domino 500, just a quick question I've seen lots of posts on here about calibrating the sight line to the base but can the paddles be set or are these just how they come from the factory? I haven't had a great deal of time with the tool but my surfaces are always flush but not always on the edges/sides. I'm half putting this down to user error but thought I'd chuck it out there. Hopefully this makes sense to you all. If someone could come back with some answers I'd be really gratefull as I love this tool.

In the box there should have been spare paddles that are a slightly different thickness.  You swap them over if you have a problem. I'll try and find the reference in the US extended manual.  I don't think Festool's own manual mentions them.

Look particularly at page 21 to see about swapping the edge stop dogs.

Get some time on the tool before you start worrying about adjusting anything, its probably input error.. [big grin] as you say not always  on the sides

I think they are mostly cock on from the factory

I had the same problem and changed one of the paddles for the smaller/bigger ones and it's now dead on.
