This is one of the smaller outer sections of a 3 piece TV/bookshelf unit. There is a much larger section in the middle, with 2 flanking sides. Same color and wood edges, though a black accent will cap the joints and over the arches. They are really tall 48" x 135" and that's just above the countertop line  [eek]

I got the other 2 sections assembled and erected today.....man this thing is huge. It got really big when we stood it up  [eek]
It's around 160" wide and 133" high to the top of the arched panels. The crazy part is that this isn't all there is to it! The thing sits on top of cabinets too  [scared]

Yes, it takes a scissor lift to work on it.  [big grin]

I've paid attention to casework and millwork for the last 20 or more years, but only in the last few years have I really looked closely and tried to figure out how stuff that I see in the field is built and assembled.  This definitely reminds me of the installations in the 3 story atrium at my grandmother-in-law's living facility.  And by all accounts, in person, in place, it doesn't look like "much" because it's proportional to the space it's in.  Put even half of that in my living room, and I'd be crawling through it just to get out of the place.

Great stuff!

You are very right [member=75217]squall_line[/member] proportions are very important. This thing is going into a very large room, where something small (normal) would look out of place. It still looks huge inside of a massive shop though. It's still rather intimidating to stand in front of it. That lower shelf, in the center section, is 70" off of the floor and like I said before, it goes onto a run of cabinets. Those are already in place.

[member=66966]jonnyrocket[/member] it's all particleboard with laminate covering. The narrow shelves are 1" thick, with a 2" White Oak front edge, stained to match. The wider ones are 2" thick, with the same edge.

The whole thing falls into the category of stupid-heavy. I'm glad I have nothing to do with the install.

As far as I will get it anyway. I got all of the parts for the face done and all disassembled this morning.
The thicker center rib is located with Dominos , as well as the joint between the arches and the straight trim below them. (4mm)
It may not deliver for a while, the jobsite is way behind schedule, plus there is plenty more to do. We are still missing key field-dimensions to continue much further though.....that far behind.
