Cool! I've been interested in Zobo sets for a while now... Are the bits available individually over there?

Yes. They are available individually. The ZOBO System 3 even goes up to 130mm!

Checking with another Distributor right now if I can order these (time to diversify sourcing.....).

I will post an update after I know more.

You'll really like that rebate bit. I love mines and use the heck out of it. For the $$$ it cost I wish they would come up with something else to use the spindle with. That is a pricey bit

And don't forget the centering pins, drills you need to buy as well for ZOBO System 3 bits (the "Lego system") vs the system 2 bits where that is included..

For all that do not know this there are 3 versions of the ZOBO bits:

System 1: Centrotec bits sold by Festool (included in the Centrotec ZOBO set)

System 2: Regular shank bits. 10mm up to 65mm diameter. Bits larger than 50mm have a detachable cutter head like the sytem 3 bits. centering pin/drills etc are included with a bit as far as I can tell. Cheaper than system 3 bits

Stystem 3: The "Lego system". You buy all pieces individually from the very beginning. 15mm up to 100mm (even saw somewhere 130mm). Cutter head, shank, centering pin, drills all seperate pieces. (only would buy them beyond the system 2 range)

System 2 and 3 are available as chrome (recommended for soft and hardwood) and carbide (recommended for hardwood and sheet goods, harder material like acryl).

I snapped my pilot bit for my zobo's and ordered two new ones from Timbertools.  The owner, Gary, is a good guy to deal with.  He originally sent me 3.5mm instead of the 2.5mm I had ordered.  I returned the others and he called me to let me know the 2.5's were on the way.  They are based just across the border from Niagara Falls but it still took almost 3 weeks for package to get her in Dallas.  One thing to remember is the Festool variety are not expandable for length like the non-centrotec.  The regular ones have two different length pieces that can be screwed on to make the bit really long for going through thick timber.

So the other distributor confirmed to me that he has/can get any ZOBO size for System 2 and 3 and he would ship to me (I guess the German helps.....).

For starters, I will get me a 10mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, 55mm, 60mm and 65mm ZOBO System 2 bit at some point in the near future.
