I am getting a 1010 Router and would like to know if anyone has experience using it with either the Porter Cable super jig or the Leigh Super Jig.  It appears you need to obtain some kind of adapter for the bushings.  Since the 1010 uses 8 mm bits I assume the bit size does not matter.  Compatibility is my main concern as it appear both jigs are do acceptable job.

Thanks

I use the Leigh 18" Super Jig.  I also use the OF 1010 with the Leigh 704R bushing adapter plate.  The Festool bushing adapter fits so tightly that it's not possible to use center the bushing with a mandrel.  The Leigh 704R has just enough slack that it becomes possible to center bushing on the mandrel which the centers the dovetail bit in the bushing.

Use mine with a Leigh DR4 Pro; highly recommend you look at the Vacuum and Router Support - really worth the money.

I'm with DrD, The Leigh jigs are the most versitile.  I have not used my 1010 with my DR-4 but you should not need an adaptor as the 1010 has a base that accepts the PC style guides.  I also have the FMT Pro.  Leigh has the most thought out and useful router jigs on the market.  Luckily for me I bought mine back when the economy had tanked and bought both systems with all accessories for hundreds less than they cost now.

You definitely need the Leigh 704R bushing adapter, you will not get perfect fit dovetail using 1010 with the Festool plastic adapter as it is too tight and you cannot center the bushing.

Hi Kevin,

I use my OF1010 with the Leigh Jig - the Super Jig is very similar to my D4.

I see that the 704 is mentioned which is good. I have some videos that may help you make up your mind:

The Leigh DR-4 and Superjigs come with the E bushing as standard equipment.

Heard nothing but good things about the OF 1010 with any of the Leigh jigs.
