Fire resistant firewood? [eek]
I did this mock-up as a display for the client this afternoon. It's a miniature version what will eventually be a feature wall, over a bar, like a soffit. The face frame is supposed to be stained, but that has not been approved yet.
After all of the split pieces are cut to varying lengths, they get sprayed with a fire resistant material. This is apparently required to pass some kind of regulations for the location it goes into.
The pieces are nailed/screwed to a loose backer board, so the cabinets can be installed empty and then the panel slid in after they are secured to the wall.
