LOML wanted a new piece of furniture in the kitchen/dining room.  It would provide a safe place for a hot dish or two and also provide a place to store cookbooks (hiding the really ugly ones).  I wanted to pick up some local New Mexico style, so I put salt cedar twigs in the lower panel and cut an arched cutout in the upper panel to echo the arched nicho above the piece.

Most everything was cut with the TS55 and the MFT.  Carcass is joined with dovetails via the VS600 and OF1400.  The shelfs and dividers use sliding dovetails per Jerry Work's example in his article on the MFT.  Sanded with the Rotex and the 150/3.

The wood is walnut.  Finish consists of three dyes and Behlen's rock hard varnish.

Thanks for looking and thanks for all the great Festool advice that helped me do the project!

That is one beautiful cabinet. Your wife must love it, Thanks for sharing the Festool info. As I have been without my cabinet saw for two weeks now, I enjoy hearing of others who are building with Festool only. So far, I don't miss it.
