I asked this question on a thread of another person   but it's best If I start a thread here than Hi-Jack a thread .

anyone who has a Incra LS can you Plz measure the area of the bottom mounting of the positioner   ?  lenght & width  from the furthest outside edges .
(this would be the area that makes contact with a router table ,Table saw , the LS has a dual slot mount that also has pass thru bolt holes for direct mounting as well)  from the photo is looks to be about 6" X 10"  , the Incra site & also the LS manual doesn't give these exact dimensions (i'm not looking at the distance between the bolt holes but the actual size of the mounting  area )

I'm looking at mounting the Incra LS to my soon to be built Extended Ho'made MFT table
I want to mount the LS on a 1/4" AL plate  that will cover 2 series of pairs of the MFT spaced holes & then use 4 Qwas mini  rail dogs  bolted the the AL plate & then the LS bolted up from the AL plate using counter sunk screw bolts so that the AL mounting plate sits flat on the table surface .
this way I can drop the Incra LS directly onto my table & have it square the 20mm holes

I am looking at AL plate stock & sometimes the  8020 Ebay store has AL plate 2nds that are really inexpensive .
If I see a AL plate  2nd that would work for the size I need  I could snap it up now & have it in hand when I get my LS soon !

So I was close by eye from a photo .  [tongue]
OK ,
Now another quick question /  in inches how far is it to span 3 MFT 20mm holes from the outside edges of the furthest of the 3 holes  ?   ?

that figure & the 9" from above would be my minimal size of AL plate stock I would need .

just for my reference how big is the distance between 2 of the holes center to  hole center center  .

If I had my MFT top that I'm using for a template now  I wouldn't be asking all this  but It's not ordered yet .
8020's ebay store has some used AL plate on offer right now & I'd love to get the plate right away
I hope you guys understand .  :-\

The MFT holes are on 96 mm centers.  To span the outsides of 3 consecutive holes it would be 212mm or 8.34646 inches

ThanX Guys ,
So, a  9 inch square plate is what I shootin' at then .

I'll post up some Pix once things start to fall into place .
I just got some 8020 stuff (rails & hardware )  in today
I start a build thread once most of the gear gets here .

ThaNX Guys    [eek]

I just scored this plate http://www.ebay.com/itm/331041964036?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
for $30.oo   80/20 Inc. Aluminum Plate Part #2455, 11" x .25" x 26" Long.

leaves me with material for 2 mount plates & some left over

( I might just make  two complete mounting plates  with the Mini Rail  Qwas dogs from Steve Adams  , countersunk mounting holes & offer the other for sale )

think I'll leave the 11" width as is " IF " the thing is square when I get it .
I plan on adding 2 of these handles that I got last week from 80/20 ($5.oo for 6 each )so I can lift up the whole assembly with ease
