Hey Guys,

I'm going to be moving from my current warehouse in Cincinnati Ohio about 20 miles down the pike to Hebron, Kentucky next week. Lot's to do - inventorying, disassembling, packing, shipping, reassembling, besides the whole backend system update and keeping glitches to an absolute minimum. Inevitably, this will result in a week long interruption of shipping - and I will be at the phone for any questions, advice and concerns regarding all things Festool. All orders entered before Tuesday, August 8,  6am EST will be shipped that day. Orders placed after that time will be entered into the que, but will not ship until Wednesday August 16th - earlier if possible.

While my current warehouse been exemplary with fulfillment, they are more suited to larger businesses, and the market demand for my space is so competitive (read high priced) that I needed to find a fulfillment center more suited to a smaller sized business like mine.

As mentioned, while the actual move is prepared, readied and completed, orders placed after next Tuesday, will not ship until Wednesday, August 16th.

Thanks for your patience!

Bob

So Bob, since you are moving across the river, will my Orders coming from Ohio not have sales tax soon?  You are still my most geographic dealer (even though you won't let me come get my stuff!!)

Good luck on the move. I was just in Hebron on my way to Burlington this weekend. Plus you are VERY close to the airport!

Cheers. Bryan.

From the looks of things they can't build warehouses fast enough in Hebron!  I've watched several huge facilities go up this year with more underway. Welcome to the Bluegrass Bob!

That would be correct regarding sales tax. Yeah, most fulfillment centers/warehouses - including Festool, simply don't permit retail pickups.

Good to know and thanks, Jeff.

Hey Wayne,

Don't know what I did to get that compliment here, but I'll take it and say "thanks!" ;)

Now I will get hit with sales tax. [member=5]Bob Marino[/member] [member=21412]bkharman[/member] will I at least get instant delivery? I work in Hebron. I am assuming you are moving near the Amazon warehouse area?

Well, can't help the sales tax thing. "Instant" delivery? Next day is as fast as we can get it to you. Not sure about where the Amazon warehouse area is though.

Maybe you could get a drone capable of handling a Sys3 and has a 25 miles delivery radius. :)

Don't laugh, it's not as far off as you might think.

Not laughing at all, Amazon is working on drones I believe.

Yes, I knew about Amazon and had heard others were working on it.

It will be interesting to see when fulfillment centers start to implement this.

Amazons' locker system is cool too. You can have something delivered to a locker
in a mall or other location and then grab it when it's convenient for you. The catch
is you only get three days to grab your stuff and after that it goes back.

[member=5]Bob Marino[/member] haha no problem. My light hearted sarcasm did not come off well in the last response. I actually didn't know you ship out of the Cincinnati area. Either way I think I will use you guys more often because of turn around.

Bob,  I think that it is great customer service to give notice of the change.  Wishing you well in the transition.  You have always had the best product protection in the business and I hope yur new vendor will continue to excell,

All the best.

Peter

You are right Peter, letting people know up front is way better
than finding out after placing an order that delivery will be delayed.

Kudos to Bob for notifying everyone. No doubt there/was some notification
on his website too. I haven't visited recently to know first hand but I would
expect that there.

Pete and Bob D,

Thank you for the kind words! The over-boxing is something I have stressed with the new warehouse; that of course will continue. Well, I think any dealer would be errant if they did not let customers know of the change and resulting delays. I'm thankful that I have a good customer base and despite the interim change with the delays - and trying to keep the inevitable glitches to an absolute minimum, we should be fine.

Phew-lots of skews! We are getting there. Almost done. Looks good for FedEx coming your way starting Thursday.
Thanks for your patience.
Oops sorry for that lopsided pic.
