I like that planer but I have to store mine low and pick it up to use it. Keeping my old Delta as it is so much lighter. Really wanted that Dewalt but DANG it is heavy. The better for your usage though!  [big grin]

Personally I think a jointer would still be needed for really thick/long boards. The weight of the jointer would be more effective.
