I wrapped this up last week.  I loved making something besides stained or white cabinets.  I big thank you to Tom for pointing me towards Kem Aqua Plus a few months ago.  I use the tinted version exclusively for all of my "paint" jobs.  It levels out nice and is hard as nails when cured.  This job was the second one I've done for this family, having done their home office a couple of years ago, same door style but it was a finished in white with van dyke brown glaze. The mitered doors are all held together with two dominos at each corner.  Boxes are dominoed, for alignment, and then put together with pocket screws.  All the drawers are prefinished 1/2" maple ply that are dominoed together.

You consistently amaze me!

You hit home runs very time.  Jealous is a word in my vocabulary.

Classic look with wonderful fit and finish.

Those look great - assume you sprayed the finish?

Is that poplar with a ply panel for the frame and panel?

Great looking build!  The finish on those is flawless!

Did you use the prefinished ply on the boxes, too?

Did you spray a final clear coat or just the tinted ones?  How many coats total?

Thanks for the photos!

Thanks guys.  The doors are poplar with an mdf panel.  I sprayed a coat of Target's heavy bodied primer and then sanded with 3m's fine finish purple sanding blocks, they are perfect for this door profile.  I followed that with two coats of KA+, sanding after the first coat.  The cab boxes, like the drawers, are prefinished maple.

The only constructive critique I have is in my own head I wish the baseboard profiles had been matched to the existing room's baseboards, or the room's baseboards had been matched to the new cabinet.  I often like that look a lot - even when the cabinets are built to look like additional pieces.

Can't critique much though - it looks wonderful.  You killed it.

That is absolutely beautiful!

I am curious what the base structure looks like support the cabinets.  Is it a 2x4 construction or 1x material that you level out on the floor (shim and so forth) and then the cabinets sit on top?  The base is then wrapped with the baseboard trim.

Very Nice! Did you build them in place or in the  shop then deliver and install?
