Recently I was in Munich and of course decided to find a Festool dealer to go check out some accessories. Oddly I couldn't find the dealer I went to a few years ago. This time I ended up going to:
Verleihnix Werkzeug
Heidemann Str. 11
Munchen
This post is intended to be an FYI for anyone interested who might be going to Munich and wanting to buy stuff.

GETTING THERE:
1 nice easy train ride from the Marienplatz to the edge of town
From the train stop 1 quick easy short bus ride to a bus stop that stops almost in front of the place
Walk down the driveway all the way to the end, the place is at the rear of a bunch of contractor type buildings

THE SHOP:
This is a total contractor joint. Nice, clean but not a yuppy place. They sell tools and also rent tools. Two guys were onsite working the desk. They were very nice and very helpful. Upon entering I told them I was there to look around but had no particular goal. They let me wander around, play with stuff, check things out, no problem, no fuss. I ended up talking with them quite a bit and ended up showing them and writing down the FOG address for them. A bit more on that later.

INVENTORY:
- All the festool tools and a very nice selection of accessories. I ended up buying a few accessories. However the real surprise was the quantity and variations of festool sanding papers, pads, sheets, etc. I ended up buying a couple packs of festool sanding blocks, they come in 6 packs. I would have liked to buy a lot more paper but was worried about weight already adding up. I've been to two other Festool dealers in Germany and neither had this amount of sanding products. If you are going to the Munich area and are a sand paper guy I highly suggest you go here.
- In terms of ordering specific festool stuff they may not have but you want, they said they can get pretty much anything with a 2-3 day lead time. Unfortunately due to the New Year holiday I was unable to get my dealer his asked for Festool soccer shirt. They are ok with getting a phone order ahead of time and having the product ready for you to pick up on your designated day. They aren't really set up for any kind of shipping though. They said they could probably figure out shipping but its not their thing and would likely cost too much to be worthwhile.
- Very nice selection of Blakladder clothing. Not just a couple items or sizes. Lots of shirts, pants, coats - heavy & light, different colors and styles, pads, belts, etc. I ended up with a coat and pants.
- Very nice selection of Fein accessories. Granted we have pretty good availability stateside for Fein stuff but they had a number of accessories I had not seen before. I ended up buying a few items of course.
- Other items include lots of flooring products, tool rental, very cool job site pencil options (yes had to buy those too), misc. hand and power tools

PRO 5 SANDER:
During general chit chat with the workers I ended up asking them if they had the a similar Pro 5 promo last year. They said no, asked me for details and then looked at me like I was crazy. I told them 'I am not lying to you'. They responded 'we don't think you are lying but you must be confused, what you are saying isn't possible'. That's when I pulled up the FOG and the festoolusa ad for the Pro 5 promo on my iPhone. Of course, they were beside themselves. Their brains were having a computer syntax error. We went back and forth about it and it was pretty funny. Of course you had to be there.
They had never heard of the FOG but were happy I wrote down the address for them and showed them around a bit on the site.

In conclusion, if you are in the area and want to hang out and chat at a contractor type joint along with buying some stuff I would highly recommend this place.

With the price of tools in Germany, I can only imagine how surprised they where about the Pro 5...
