MW 1000 at the barn?

My wife and I own a commercial horse boarding barn on Long Island, NY and while she is the equestrian expert, I am maintenance.  I was considering the MW 1000 but concerned it’s more for indoor use only.  I wouldn’t use it in the rain, but there may be some ‘mud’ it would be sitting in.  Nothing too deep, but definitely outdoors.  Do you think it would hold up in this environment?

I have a weatherguard tool box on the pick-up that perfectly holds my Systainers.  It also has some d-rings on the back so I could latch the cart while transporting.

Appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,
dr

Only thought is if it's traveling to/from in the bed. .is there a way to keep it from getting rained on?

Fortunately yes!  We live just down the road and I wouldn’t expect to be carrying it with any significant chance of rain.  I have a full crew cab so worst case I can probably just load it there.

Thanks!

You could also put an oil/wax on the mdf tops to help protect from possible rain/moisture.
I've used Osmo Polyx on my MFT tops and it helps protect from accidental spills and makes glue easier to clean off.
One caution is watch the dog holes.  Where I got the finish in the holes they are hard to get dogs inserted.  The hole has to be reemed/cleaned.

The MW1000 has been super handy for me out in the yard.  I've been working on a fence project and it's really nice to have a smaller, more mobile work platform to wheel close to my work site.
I have MFTs as well, but those are more work to haul and set up.  The MW1000 just takes a minute to wheel out and hook up the extra table.
The wheels and base are all rubber and plastic.  I wouldn't worry too much about getting those dirty.  The wheels should wipe clean pretty easily if you ever need to take the unit back indoors.
I picked up an additional MW-AZ drawer and a regular AZ drawer for my unit.  The regular AZ drawer fits on the bottom of the MW1000.  Gives me pullouts for crosscut saw, Vecturo 18 and my T18.  I need one of those tool holder systainers so I can put all my tape measures, hammers, etc in.  There's cut outs on top of the MW1000 top that hold a systainer somewhat in place.

So, long story short, I'd definitely recommend the MW1000 for a distant site like a barn.  And the only part of the unit I'd be mindful of with moisture is the mdf tops.  You could probably even do something like shellac, thought I'm not familiar with that process.
