MW 1000 US Availability?

When you click those amazon links it says right in the corner - "Seller will not ship to the United States"

Keep an eye on it and wait for other sellers. There is always one that will.

There are multiple sellers for each item.

Here's the list for the Mobile Workstation 100 Basic

I order lots of things (tools, electronics, video games, metal movie cases) from Amazon.de and have never had an issue finding a seller that ships to the US. Anything that is sold by Amazon will ship to the US, regardless of what it says in the top corner.

I assume this isn’t an Amazon issue, it’s that Festool imposes geographic restrictions on its dealers, which I discovered when attempting to order one of these through Axminster...I posted their response further up the thread. The fact that we’re attempting this through Amazon doesn’t change that.

I attempted adding it to my cart from all nine dealers on Amazon.de and they all gave the same error message when it got to the shipping address...

“This item can not be shipped to the selected address. Learn more . You can either change the delivery address or delete the item from your order. You can also see if this item is available for shipping to your address through another dealer.”

If the item is actually sold by Amazon and not a third party, you will generally be able to get it to the USA. Usually a dealer selling through Amazon will NOT ship to the USA.

Yes that is correct.  I've purchased a few times from Amazon.de and it must be sold directly by Amazon and not a third party vendor.  One other thing to watch for is that their stock comes and goes so it's not uncommon for them to not have an item sold directly from Amazon one month, have it the next month, and not have it again a few weeks after that so some persistence can pay off in the long run.

Beware that shipping is VERY slow doing this. They ship using DHL Paket. I'm at 3 weeks and no sign of it yet......

I hear that...ordered one from Germany off a seller on eBay which went through DHL in mid-December and just got it a couple of days ago.

I finally gave in and paid the stupid amount of money I paid to order one from a German eBay seller and naturally they announce a US launch date a couple of days after I finally get the dang thing...lol!😂🤣

Just got an email from a festool dealer and this unit will be avaiable in the USA in April

While I hope it is true please notice the date...April 1st.

Just saying this might be too good to be true.  [unsure]

No, it is not a prank.  I was told at Festool connect that it would be available in April of 2019.

Same. I think I ordered the first week of December and got mine about a week and a half ago. Well worth the wait. The worst part is worrying about damage in transit, but that's the risk one takes when ordering overseas. Luckily it was packed well and there were no issues. I think I'll use the extension table more than the actual cart. I may order another extension table in April.

I have the same luck, but I'm really glad they're bringing this across the pond. No electric issues to worry about so it just makes sense. I've already gotten some great use out of mine. Between this and a Shaper Origin I feel like I have a CNC which is easily portable when needed (among other things).

Well they are taking orders so I hope they are not pulling a prank🤡

That's good news. I suspected that was the case but the coincidence was too good to pass up commenting on.
