Oh... being short on working space, I slapped on the MW1000 ext table and tried swapping the MFT/3 hinges and support over, but then couldn't get it into the extension.  I didn't want to force it.  Is this even possible?  Is it wishful thinking?  Thanks.

Can you explain a little better what you're trying to do?

Are you trying to mount the MFT/3 leg hinges on an MW1000 extension to make a free-standing MW1000?

I'd almost think you'd be better off adding lifts to a MFT-Kapex if you just wanted a smaller table with four folding legs.

Alternately, cut an MFT rail profile in a 2x4, install the 2x4 in a 2x4-DIY sawhorse hinge set, and install the extension table on that.

Others have cut an MFT rail profile in a block of wood and attached it to a wall or stationary bench to accomplish something similar, but I can't find the thread(s) right now.

I just had too much 'work in progress' on my main MFT and didn't want to move it just to reclaim my cut-station.  The profile looks so close I figured I might as well set up a rail on the TSB/1-MW 1000 (without resorting to dog registration as that takes away too much depth on that thing).

The rail profile of the MW-1000 and the MFT are the same.  The main barrier is the plastic protective corners.  They are slotted similar to the rail profile and should allow the rail hinge to slide on, but they may take some "coaxing" to get the hinge on.

I just tested this on my rail hinge and MW-1000 extension table.

I did not test it with my Dashboard Hinge.

They appear to be the same on the outside, but they are not the same.

Ya I noticed they were just a tad different too when I looked at bolts for the underside and back slots... The front profile looks to be the same... I might have to Jimmy that plastic corner then.
