I just got my new ct mini home and tried it out! Im so impressed. But i took it to show my father and i plugged it in and hooked up my ts55 and  the vaccum tried to come on for a sec, then nothing at all. The saw worked fine while plugged into the vac and it was turned to Auto. I unhooked the Ts55 and tried it on manual.... still nothing! ANy body got any ideas? Im kinda frustrated because i havent even owned it for 3hrs !

Thanks Brett

i would call the dealer that you purchased from. you should have no worries getting it replaced with a new one.

regards, justin.

Brett, sorry to hear about the problem. I know you were excited to get into Festool products for the first time. I'd take this back to the dealer and get new one.

yeah Brice, I was, and still am! i have already been using the t15 and the ts55 . To say the least , im very happy already! I just wish the CT would work so i would not have to deal with all the dust!  Hopefully itll be resolved tomarrow!

i would recommend that you take this opportunity to return it and get a ct 22.  having both, the mini is great if ease of transporting is important.  however, the ct 22 has much better suction and a larger bag.

I would love a CT22, but seeing as how i will be transporting it in my truck day in and out the mini will prob serve me better. But in the future, absolulty!

I thought the CT-22 looked relatively small at my local Woodcraft.  Then I ordered one and got it home.  It was larger and much heavier than my Rigid shop vac.  When I consider replacing my shop vac, I'll consider getting the MIDI or MINI.  I wouldn't want to haul the CT 22 anywhere.

I tote my ct 22 with me almost daily.  Sometimes I wheel
it in my trailer, sometimes I put it in the back of the suburban.

i would hold out for the ct26 and ct36, which should be out relatively soon, much larger capacity and smaller size!!! redefined motor and bag compartments

I don't know if we can expect the CT26/36 in the near future based on Christian' comments in November:

Hello,

We don't have an ETA yet, since it depends on UL. My personal opinion based on the UL approval process in the past: We won't
see the Cleantex vacuums in the US in the next 12 months.

Christian

Hopefully you guys will get the Cleantex soon.  I have the 26 & love it.  Such a well engineered piece of kit.  Just wish the longlife bag wasn't so expensive  [unsure]
