I just spoke to my Festool dealer and since sales are down, due to the poor economy and the installation of 2 dealers, with multiple stores, around my dealer, Festool is cutting his margins.
The only reason I found out about Festool was this dealer listened to my needs, recommended the right tools and then gave me hands on demo's with the tools we discussed. I originally went into my dealers store for an inexpensive Jet table saw to do a project, and ended up a nicely equipped shop with ALL Festools. The dealers that Festool put around my dealer, won't even demo to someone who shows an interest.
My dealer, who introduced Festool to the area shouldn't be penalized and Festool needs to show loyalty. Whats next, is Bob Marino going to end up the same way?

Happy Thanksgiving, Bob.  I tried to send you a PM but it bounced and indicated your mailbox is full.

I highly doubt and surely hope that you won't be squeezed as described in the recent email about another helpful dealer around whom Festool allegedly permitted if not facilitated too much new competition resulting in lower business margins.  Your outstanding knowledge and service are legend among FOG members, and you continue to prove that you earned that status and reputation.  I much appreciate your helpful service and efforts at chasing down obscure components for me.  Yesterday evening I used the MFS 400 set and the extra 700 mm extrusions and some of the extra parts you provided to me back in April to setup and route the first of several small shelves that are to hold glass inserts, similar to making a bunch of small router table tops with inserts.
