My first Bessey's

Been thinking about trying a couple but have also seen some alternatives from Rutlands in the UK, anyone tried any of the Rutland clamps?

I think its a case of you get what you pay for. I heard someone on another forum say they are ok but not good quality. I decided to pay the extra for bessey and I'm glad I did.

I'm perpetually low on wall space so i made a version of the top photo, but sticking out about 15 inches.

In the shop I tend to grab a pair of 24" rockler aluminum bar clamps before my besseys. I find them very light and fast to use.

I have just made my first Bessey purchase (two KR200).  I have been a Jet Parallel clamp fan.  However my regular supplier says he can't get more Jet stock. The new Besseys look like quality.  Does anyone have experience with both Bessey and Jet?

I've got Bessey K bodies, Bessey KRV's, Rutlands clones and Axminster clones. The Bessey clamps are the best but the clones are quite usable and come with a lifetime guarantee so if you do break one - unlikely unless you try and put some stillsons on the handle to tighten them up - they should be fine.

NB I've had mine for about 4 years on average and they are used regularly in a pro workshop.

Yeah Steve, d&m tools are the cheapest.
