My first cnc kit.

That is a very nice looking design. I have been gathering materials to build my first machine, most everything is in hand and the only thing really slowing me down is my own doubts about some of the choices/options. I just need to make up my mind and dive in, your approach is smart for a first-timer.

Keep  us up to date on your progress.

That is great. I have been following his development on his router.. I think you have chosen well. I look forward to your progress.

I think it was a good choice for a first cnc as well. I also followed the build threads for months and watched all Brian's video's, especially the one in front of other manufacture reps that thought it was a production machine. Still need to get the rest of the kit together from router parts and decide on the router. May be Bosch or a Chinese water cooled spindle with VFD.

Is he taking orders beyond the first batch he produced? The thread seemed to indicate this was a limited run, not widely available.

Having looked at a lot of different CNC kit designs I was immediately struck by how rigid it looks, the steel gussets are a somewhat unique approach and really nicely done.

Keep us in the loop as this progresses.

Thanks,
