I finally took the plunge.  I just received my initial purchase, TS 75, MFT/3 with support brackets and a couple Quick Clamps.  I just received them today and I'm hooked.  I already regret not ordering the CT with everything else but I'll fix that mistake next week.

Welcome to FOG.
It sounds like you're on that slippery slope, enjoy the ride.

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

I take it your first cuts went well?  [wink]

The upgrade from normal circular saw to tracksaw is probably the biggest single game changer in terms of enjoyment and accuracy, that a single tool can provide. Once you have an extractor t hook up to it you'll only marvel and the lack of dust and love it more!

I would recommend looking at the Bosch extractors as well as Festool, they're a little more powerful and also a little cheaper, so all round more bang for your buck.

If you came to Festool for the "system" approach, then also consider the three year warranty, and all the unique accessories available for the Festool CT (workstation, boom arm, etc).  If your just looking for financial savings, Ridgid makes an extractor, and Sears sells their Craftsman brand as well.

I'm assuming you already have a Festool Catalog, where the complete Festool Dust Extractor line-up is shown from pages 6-17.  If you don't have access to the catalog, here is a link where you can both download or request a copy be sent to you:

Thanks for the welcome.  I love how clean and square the cuts are.

Welcome to the FOG.

I've had the catalog for awhile now.  I've spent hours marveling at the available options.  I wasn't 100% sure of I was going to go for the "full system approach" prior to this purchase but I'm sold now.  I'm looking forward to this new journey.

The green Kool Aid comes at a price. Enjoy your new tools. The dust extractor is very good once you get it. And will be a good jumping off point for future purchases. Welcome to the forum🍻
