So I grew up in construction, but have only recently gotten into actual woodworking. I finished my first real furniture piece last night. My wife found the "plans" on the internet. These plans called for EVERYTHING to be pocket screwed together. Including the breadboard ends as well as pocket screwing the top to the base.
So after doing some research, I made some adjustments to the plans. I'm relatively happy with it, as there are a few spots that didnt turn out as well as I would have liked, mostly on the sanding/finishing side. But 99% of the people will never see them. And my wife loves it, so that is the main thing. The majority of the piece is made of Ash, with the bottom "shelf" made out of ply. Not a perfect match, but pretty close.
Festool tools used were: Domino 500, Rotex 125, ETS125, and TS55 REQ
