My New Website is up!

for example:

http://www.bobmarinosbesttools.com -> sanding -> RS 2 E Orbital Sander -> Shop All RS 2 E Accessories ->

Great, there's all the accessories.... but where's the paper?

There is no link from the (specific) sander or the accessories to the paper.

If you back up to:
sanding -> abrasive sheets -> RS 2 E I see only the paper for the sander I want. (which is AWESOME!). but it would be huge if also that same page was displayed at the bottom of the accessories as well.

fyi: This is not me being critical of the work you have done, this is a customer providing feedback  ;D

Aha, now I get it. It's in the works already; not all sanders yet have the abrasives listed yet, some do, but we're getting there.
You aren't being critical (well, maybe in the good sense of the word) but rather helpful, as customer input is well,...critical, in making my website a better place to visit.

Ok, all the papers are listed under each sander, but it is the 2nd part of the link that directs you to abrasives, sooooooooooooooo, I need to add the word "abrasives" to each listing for clarification.

Thanks again.

Bob,
I found that your site is much easier to navigate.  Just a quick comment, the second link needs more spacing since it is a bit hard to distinguish at first glance.

Roger,

Do you mean regarding the sander accessories/sander papers to which I was referring? If so, yep, getting the spacing done.

Thanks,

Bob

Yes, but also I see the same issue in the dust extractor section as well. Basically whether there is more than one link there should be enough distinction between the two. I know tha the links will be renamed as accessories and sanding paper for the sander.

I have to say, I really like how you've got the abrasives laid out.  The one thing that comes to mind is maybe the grit could be in bold type (underlined or in a different color font) so your eye can pick it out more quickly. Also, I noticed the quantities are marked only with a number in parentheses, might be better to spell it out more clearly, "box of 10", "10 pack" or "10 Qty".

Fixed that issue; removing that "double link" as I write.

Thanks Brice,

On that "to do" list.

Bob,  I like the site.  Liked it so much I had to buy something!  I bookmarked your site and hope to purchase a sander in the near future.  I just need to make up my mind and pick one out.  Keep up the good work!

Would love to see what's in the systainer with each of the tools listed under product pages.  This is often discussed on the FOG here - like a thread that just mentioned that the Kapex comes with a laser-adjusting allen wrench, for example.  Simple list could certainly help in figuring out the accessories you need versus what's in the box!

Thanks - and keep the enhancements coming.

Good idea and thanks, Neil.

Hey Bob,
I have people interested in buying the 487554 knob and 469620 screws to go along with the Domino plates that I make.  I tried those numbers on your new site with no joy returned.  Are those items that you typically stock?
By the way, your new site looks great & very friendly, congratulations.  [smile]

Hi Ron,

Glad you like the new website.

Those items are not catalog items and as such would not (for now at least) be listed on my web. These items are Festool's "parts" and as such can also be ordered directly from Festool's Service Department.

Hi Bob,  Nice work on your website.  I like how you've made the accessories readily accessible from any tool's page.  And including the matching Abrasive Systainer on the sander pages is a nice touch.

One little oddity I found when after reading the TS 55 Tipping thread I decided to look at your product page for the TS 55's Parallel Edge Guide -- selected "Sawing" and then chose "Shop TS 55 EQ Plunge Cut Circular Saw Accessories" and got an accessories page with several accessories, but the Parallel Edge Guide was not included.  A search returned with the accessory.  I was also able to find it when I later looked further down the main menu and selected "Tool Accessories" and chose "Plunge Cut Saw Accessories" where you do include the Parallel Guides.  Oh well, finding what I was after two times out of three aint bad    [big grin]
