My new wheels

I must have got mixed up, its the older battery model.  I have the new C15, its cool  8)

The reason i got the CXS was work related, get your mind out the gutter  [doh]

Dont Know what you mean Woodguy.

How you going to charge the C12 if it has no charger

Will sell you mine with charger and two batteries and systainer for that [smile]

John

I already have an old C12 which has a charger so that is no problem.  It just seemed a bit dear for an older drill ?

Hi Woodguy

CXS  Nope not got one not getting one either. Next drill will be a C15 cant see point of Cxs. Just got a smashing little 10.8v Bosch impact driver. You get the link for the systainers latches.

John

I would not bother wiv the cxs either.  It's out of date in my opinion it's a new drill but with old technology. Festool brought out these new drills all brushless and electronics clutch  then decide to bring a drill wth DC motor n a normal clutch like Normal drills on the Market so nout special! Lol sorry wood guy!

Nice van. Painting the interior white will certainly help. But there's something weird going on with the steering wheel, it's on the wrong side?!?  ??? ???.

What Alex said  [laughing], and wheres the GREEN? ??? The Van is cool though. How's the mileage? I drive a Dodge 3500 (1 ton) p/u with the large Cummins (diesel). Just got home a few hrs ago from the Festool training in Vegas and averaged 18.7 mpg with the cruise set at 78mph there and back, thats through the Rockies and desert, can't complain, except I remember when diesel was cheaper than gas and now it's reverse. But I'm sure it's still less here than there.

i never found noise from the back of mine an issue, just the howl from the ladders on the roof when pushing 100mph

You guys still have miles over there?  And hours, too?  What's the metric conversion for time, anyway?

Regards,

John

well my local garage is 141.9p a liter at the moment which works out at $2.41 so yes i suspect your paying a lot less

As Dean said, diesel is a horrendous price here & going up all the time.  I was playing around with the millage on the trip computer the other day.  At 65mph i was getting around 36mpg but when i came down to the propper speed of 50mph i was getting 56mpg.  Not to bad for a van full of tools.

I'd like to get mileage like that, but I like having the power especially during winters here in the Rockies. At lower altitudes I have gotten up to 26mpg driving across the Mojave Desert with the cruise set at 72mph. Diesel here in Montana is averaging $3.85 per gal. In Utah and Nevada it was $3.99-$4.01. Fortunately I can get 560 to 600 miles on a full tank if I'm careful and don't get lead in my foot...thank God for cruise.

Diesel here in New Jersey is around $3.80 / gallon.  I'm not sure Woodguy was referring to miles per gallon when he used the mpg.  That's probably why his numbers appear high.

i get same mile per gallon as woodguy, well towards the lower end of it anyway. as for power not sure where you need all this power i can put just over a ton in the back and still do 95mph which is far to fast for that sort of weight

Sucks my Van is maxed out only does 98mph! Going down hill might do 109mph! lol !  I never go that fast  [tongue]

I normally only travel at about 70mph really dont need to go faster might go up to 80 but my van aint good on fuel then.  I sold my car so only have a van at the moment until my girlfriend qualifies buy a car together.  Annoying having no car really my car use to do 100mph easily! Maxed my car out at 149mph so my van is dead slow especially when I have to over take a old couple driving.

Those in the US need to remember that the gallon is the only thing that isn't bigger and better over there ;)
