[smile]well I am happy with all my Festool products, nothing is perfect in life so why are you lot belly aching ......bla blah.

And me I am happy with both Apple and Festool and enjoy my time in the workshop as a hobbyist and Festool makes this better and more pleasurable.

Both are not perfect but both are very enjoyable so for goodness sake, stop moaning and enjoy or buy the other crap that's out there.

No design is perfect in anything , instead of crapping on about a bit of dust here and there, I bet half of you would really have something to moan about if all your Festool tools were taken off you.

Just my comment.

Now there's a good idea. Just go enjoy using the tools.  [thumbs up]

Seth

I agree

Nobody makes us buy them .and I've no problem with any of mine

But please stop with the holey rail thing .

Meh, complaining is a part of life. Non-complaining is the BETTER part though. [smile]

I'm happy with my Festools too. Couldn't give a rats hiney about the holey raily thingy.

Good on you guys for supporting enjoyment of our tools and hobbys, jeez I once used to make things within an axe chop......now I am a neouro surgeon with wood thanks to my Festools. Make me the amateur look half professional. And that's gotta be good

I still do! Spoons mainly, axe chop then knife work. But I use my Midi to clean up the mess afterwards  [big grin]

I am constantly impressed with the storage and organization provided by the Systainers. When I first saw the Festool stuff *many* years ago it was the systainers that caught my eye. I didn't buy into them (or the tools) at the time, partly because I loved the idea but thought it was 'clunky' to have to release up to four catches to get at a tool. I wondered why they couldn't have a solution with just a couple of latches - similar to a suitcase?

Fast Forward several years, and look at what we have. Tanos/Festool bettered my thought, and came up with a product that has just ONE latch that can be opened and used even while in a stack (maybe - depends on how many are attached above it and how heavy they are, how strong you are, etc.) and is INCREDIBLY easy and intuitive to use.

I like them so much I keep looking at other tools and thinking 'would that be better in a Systainer'?

While I agree going on and on about a noticed flaw is rediculous, Posting constructive ways of improving tools and processes benefits us all!

The lumber that I find locally tends to have the faces flattened and parallel but the edges are unfinished. I have a 6" powermpathic jointer but I find I never use it because I find it so much simpler to lay down a pice of track and get a perfectly straight edge with my TS-75.

The tracks simply add so much flexibility to the saw

Unbelievable.......some of you guys have started freakin moaning again!!!!!!!

On my post! [eek]

This is not the Wishlist of moaners post, go to the section that the Festool guys would read about improvements.

I wonder do the moaners build anything? Or do they just criticise and expect everything for their money, it's just a tool and it is what it is....like it or lump it.

Jeez

Again, let's not call each other names, like moaners. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion as long as it's done in a manner that aligns with our forum guidelines.

If you have something rude to say about another member, don't post it publicly. Send a PM or keep it to yourself. Thanks.

It has been a tough/emotional time on the FOG in the past 48hrs or so. Thanks Steve for having a go at deflecting the 'friendly' fire. Shane, Seth and Peter have been very patient.

Now we should sit down relax, talk about tools and projects and have a nice cold -

Unless it got deleted, I went back and looked for moaning posts and didn't really see any. Mine was the only one even remotely close to it but I was just stating that FastFix pads are much nicer than not. I would hardly consider it moaning but to each their own interpretation. Again, there might have been some post that was deleted and I didn't see but in any event, I will sing a different tune.

I love almost every tool I have bought in the past few years because my needs/wants have changed, my research and knowledge is far better than it used to be and I changed my approach to woodworking a few years back. That being said, I have quite a few Festools, but have others that I enjoy just as much. I am just a hobbyist but really enjoy where I am at this stage in my "hobby career". If I had a gripe, it would be that I don't have enough time to dedicate to it.

Cheers. Bryan.

Point well taken. Sorry for just being such a whiner. Please just make my zero strip on my rails stick !  By the way I have gotten used to the triple trigger on my dewalt dw621 but I still cannot stand it ! And yes I love my ts 75 and 850 planer, midi vacuum, 150 sander and domino. cheers  (i still think the safety on the kapex with the convex vertical handle is uncomfortable, the sight line on my trion is difficult and guide rail connector needs improvement).

I didn't read anything negative about your initial post. I read it as a thumbs up for Fastfix.
