So my comment, as I'm on my 4th house ownership... does it break down easy for moving?

I've found the movers really hate woodworkers.... ;)
Yes they do, last time I moved it took a 26 foot trailer to get all my tools, workbenches.  The whole house took 2 of those trailers.

On one of our moves, I was in the middle of building an entire set of kitchen cabinets for a friend. Needless to say it took several trips with the van.....

I really like that configuration!!!  Too bad that Festool doesn't supply the 2m profiles in NA.  Might have to find a friend in Europe soon.  My only issue right now is where to put it in a very small shop.

Shipping them is the problem - the extrusions are oversized for most parcel companies. I would've bought some before I relocated from EU to USA had I known back then :(

Shane indicated that these are not going to come to USA any time soon due to undisclosed reasons (I cannot fathom why the issue, wonder if it is also logistics/shipping related?)

This is awesome!! Brilliant idea to make a mega table.

Where/how did you order the "2M MFT/3 profiles" and "MFT/3 profile joining bars"? I'm relatively new to Festool, so still learning the tricks of the trade so to speak.

Unfortunately they are NAINA (an acronym you'll come across a lot on this site; it means Not Available In North America).

5 years on and its still the centre piece of my workshop. Its rock solid and serves me very well.

If anything, i wish i had made it out of a quality cabinet grade plywood instead of melamine chipboard... the melamine is perfectly stable and works fine...but i think it woudl have looked nocer if id splurged on a materials upgrade!

Mine is on 6 heavy duty casters...i can move it around with little effort...and when they are locked it doesn't budge an inch.
