I had purchased a Delta Mini Lathe a number of years ago. Shortly thereafter, I purchased the Delta Lathe stand, which is essentially two upright metal posts, each having a T-shaped bottom with wheels at each end. Before too long, the whole thing became quite wobbly, as the metal used for the portion to which the wheels were attached was entirely too flimsy. Also, the "open" nature of that design meant that chips went everywhere, and that there was zero storage available. I recently saw a design for a lathe stand with storage on FixThisBuildThat.com. As I still had LOTS of scrap plywood and MDF, along with some leftover pieces of maple in my shop (even after making the Folding MFT-style Bench with Router Table that I posted on here), I decided to make a somewhat modified version of the Lathe Stand. Here is the result:
