My wife says, "Tools don't belong in the bedroom..."

We have a spare bedroom, which for all intent and purposes is unused. I thought it would be good idea to store some of my tools there.
Apparently not.
Unfortunately I haven't any evidence of the tools in situ as they were hastily removed with the above admonition, and put in the shop.
My son occasionally uses the bedroom on his infrequent forays home from university, and we have the occasional guest that also stays, but apparently my tools are not welcome. My son didn't mind, but my wife didn't agree.

Apparently, I'm the only "tool" allowed to spend any time in a bedroom.

That certainly wouldn't go over well in my house.  Many years ago my first former spouse made the big mistake of putting my tools, including electronics, out on the balcony while I was on a seven month deployment.  To say that didn't go over well was an understatement.  Were it my spouse, I'd be asking, "Did you think the bedroom and its contents were built without tools?  Don't tell me that tools don't belong in a bedroom."

So many thoughts.....  "First former wife"?  That begs a question.    [wink]  And just for fun, anyone willing to try that line on their significant other and share the response?  [eek] I'm still envious of the post where someone's wife went out prior to the price increase and bought a bunch of toys for him.  [tongue]

There are a few battery-powered tools that MIGHT belong in the bedroom, but I don't think Festool makes any of them.

[wink]

What about BOB-  The "Battery Operated Boyfriend"?  Hmmmm, Festool brand?

Advantage of being single... spare room I use as a reading room, non-computer den, place to draw poorly room.  In the closet is a set of shelves with nicer tools that will go on display on the eventual 3 tiered shelves that I'll make oh-someday.  I don't use these often, but do use them!

It's also where the woodworking reading goes

I was thinking the same thing as Paul, except maybe build a nice free standing wardrobe/armoire and use it as a syst port :>D

That reminds that I need to make plans for a space like that in the 'reading room' in my shop.

Thanks, Paul!
