I’m in Poland on a work assignment, returning to the states this summer.  Are there any Not Available in North America Accessories I should consider picking up while here?  Obviously any power tools won’t work with the electric service differences.

I do hobby furniture / cabinet building and home improvement type jobs.

Thanks

I can't answer that question but all the systainers in the UK are less expensive than the states may be the same there. I mean a lot cheaper. Really torques me off when I think about it. I got a sys4 with the three drawers in the UK for like 70$ but here at the time it was 150 and now it's at or over 170$. Certainly a load of dung.

Thanks for spelling out NAINA. I had no idea what that meant until now!

Centrotec installers sets, Toolies, Festool swiss army knives , cool to own and their newer locking blade knife. Festool folding rule, Festool clock, if they are still available. Oh plug it pig tails if they are still available.

Though not festool, Get some of the polish pottery sets plates dishes etc etc we got some and love them best we found in Europe

The Metric System!  Hah, sorry, had to. :-[

For me it would be looking at 230V tools we don't get, if that is a path you are looking at.  I think in general accessory type stuff is easier to find sellers who will send it to the US.  Finding ones that will ship the real tools, much harder.

I'm pretty sure the cordless tools are all fair game. I've been wanting the AGC concrete saw and the insulation saw for a long while.

Toolies always seem to be a hot item here.

Same with other fan merch. that is NAINA.

FS-RAPID/L Clamp, item number 768116.
(the FS-RAPID/R is the only version sold in the U.S., but I like having both options)

Router bits with 8mm shank diameter should be more easily found in Europe.

Otherwise, some of the little stuff, like a coffee mug.

RustE had a great suggestion on the router bits FT makes a nice 8mm rail and style bit set to.

Also they make a grooving bit, dont have the P/N but youll need to buy a arbor and the bit both sold separately, along withsome of the replacable blades.

Very nice bit of kit that grooving bit. They make on for the 1010 and one for the 1400/2200.

Its real good for jointing on a router table also.

They also have some small bit sets that fit their extensions . Oh and you can still get some things that were discontinued here to. that one thingy (forget the name of it) that has the extrusion you connect to use as a routing template.

MFS

Thx for the recommendations - I’ll check out the swag, clamps and router bits.  I actually have the MFS from a few years back.

So I assume “L” vs “R” on the clamp indicates a left hand vs. right hand.  Picture on festool international is the same, I can’t really tell what the difference is.  I’m guessing it is the offset of the “nub” that interfaces with the guide rail?

Difference is which way the handle swings when viewed from the back. If you’re working the trigger on the handle, then the RAPID/L is vertical or swings to the left and the RAPID/R is vertical or swings to the right.

Absolutely.......................................but,  Lee Valley has all kinds of 8mm shank bits in stock for reasonable prices.  Same at fleaBay.

So, unless you stumble upon a sale, closeout, ect..... I doubt it's worth the effort.

YMMV

Perhaps. Wasn’t impressed by the Lee Valley bits. Most of mine are CMT, Festool, and Whiteside.
