NAINA request for....

I'll never say never, but no plans in the near future to do so.  [sad]
Any specific applications you would want them for?

It's that 110v problem again. Those tools use angle grinders as bodies, and Festool doesn't have them in 110v, only 240v.

You could get a European connection to buy only the shroud for you, so you can place it on an American grinder.

A while ago Brice Burrel talked about wanting to do this, I don't know what became of his plan though.

I could get the whole thing. I'm my own European connection so to speak [big grin]. Just don't want to lug a transformator around.....

Transformers are not too heavy.
And if you are in a shop then you already likely have 220 around.
Our dryier is solar powered, but most US driers have 220 outlets behind them too.

Yeah, I know about your European connection.  [cool]

I'm just saying you only need the shroud of those tools, not the grinder that comes with it to act as motor. If you get the shroud and put it on an American  110v grinder, provided it fits, you don't need to lug a transformer around.

awesome info!  i have no idea how i missed that particular tool.  i just watched marcel's review on it, so it's going on my short list.  i wonder if you can put a 5 or 6 inch cutoff wheel on the fiberfix pad and use it to cut into metal.
 
It is true the RAS has the body of a grinder, but it only has 3800 rpm compared to the 11000 of a real grinder. You will notice this when cutting through stone or metal.

And in addition to what Alex has already said, the RAS only uses a 4.2 amp motor, while the heavy duty versions of most of the better 4 1/2"-5" right angle grinders use motors in the 9-12 amp range. Several years ago, I replaced both of my 9 amp grinders with two 12 amp grinders from the same manufacturer, and noticed a big difference in performance. So...yes, size does matter.

Thats crazy. Surely if it's sunny enough to run the drier you just peg the washing out on the line?!

It may seem strange ... if you work through the week, hanging your wet towels on the line in the morning in oz can result is baked hard towels round the 80 grit mark [scared]

... sure there's cooler days, but it happens.

In any case, what do you mean by sheet-goods?

The coffee in Stockholm was good, but we did not have enough to confirm whether it was universal.

Sheet-goods: it' s MDF, Multiplex i'm referring to, not 'between-sheets'..
 
You have to appreciate this site to go from DSC-AG 125 FH, DSC-AG 125 & 230 to between the sheets in less then 20 response is respectful average ;)
