You could get a European connection to buy only the shroud for you, so you can place it on an American grinder.
A while ago Brice Burrel talked about wanting to do this, I don't know what became of his plan though.

I could get the whole thing. I'm my own European connection so to speak [big grin]. Just don't want to lug a transformator around.....
