My boss is considering a Clearview cyclone (not the Max, the other one, can't remember the model number.)

He has clearance issues, and is thinking about mounting the motor mount plate to the floor joists or between the floor joists instead of using the supplied wall bracket.  That way the top of the motor will be between the joists, allowing it to fit in his basement shop.

Anyone have the actual dimension of this plate, or have any other ideas?

i dont think anyone here will have that measurement of hand( i might be wrong)
i would email clear view or go onto the forum on their site and ask there.

i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work

He has been talking to Clearview, and I am not sure if he got the measurement or not.

I suggested he notch one or two joists, and bolt in some steel angle above to reinforce it, but he was concerned about building code issues later if he sells the house.
