Need help - Just lost power at the CT 26 tool power outlet

Without thinking I just plugged my router (non-Festool) into the power outlet of my CT26, and it looks like I over-loaded the outlet.  I now get no power to any of my tools, but the CT26 vacuum will turn on if I turn the selector knob to "Manual".

Is there a reset button to push, or a fuse to check?  There's no troubleshooting topic in the manual, and I can't see any reset button (although it could be right in front of me and I can't see it).  Didn't want to start attacking with a screwdriver if there's an easy option!!

Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure you can overload the outlet. But you can break it. Especially the quality of the outlet on American CT's is much frowned upon.

As far as I know, there is no fuse or switch you can reset. If it doesn't work anymore something is really broken and you better call Festools' service number for assistance.

This just happened to me on a Midi earlier today. I unplugged everything and turned it all off then plugged it all back up and turned it back on and it worked.  [scratch chin] [scratch chin] [scratch chin] [scratch chin]

My CT26 is now working again.

As the power outlet died immediately I turned the router on, I guessed there was no thermal overload, especially as the vacuum itself worked when I switched to Manual.  However, I left it off for about half hour, tried again, the vacuum still worked on Manual, but still could not trigger it with a tool when set to Auto.  I tried several tools just to ensure it was the vacuum end, not a broken tool.

In the end, having thoroughly searched for a fuse or reset button, and not finding one (since confirmed by Alex - thanks), I unplugged the power, unscrewed the front panel, and discovered the circuit board and wires completely buried under sawdust.  I completely cleaned the compartment, the circuit board, all the connections, etc.  Put the panel back on, plugged in the vacuum.  Still worked on Manual, and now also on Auto.  I'm happy again.

How the sawdust gets in the electronics, I have no idea.  Obviously better seals required.
