Need help! My Forum View is a little wacky!

Hello everyone:

I'm having a little difficulty trying to figure out what setting I may have accidentally turned on [or off] that's giving me a funky view of the forum topics.  A couple of days ago I noticed that when I clicked on certain topic headers in the forum ["Member Projects"; Other Tools..."; etc] that there was nothing in it.  In the beginning, I thought it could have been forum server issues.  But I recently discovered this morning that it must be a setting in my profile.  Every time I click on a topic header, I'm directed to only the "Recent Unread Topics" in that thread.  It seems to be the default for every section I go to.  However, I do not remember this feature being the case a week ago.

In order to resolve the mapping issue, I have to currently go to the "mapping" line above the thread - not sure of it's official name - and click the directory one level up [e.g. this topic's mapping line would be FESTOOL OWNERS GROUP > TECH TALK > Forum Features, Functions, and Management > "Recent Unread Topics"; to resolve and see all older posts, I have to then manually click the "Forum Features...." section to be directed to what I'd like to really see].  How do I allow myself to not have to go through this extra step every time I wish to view a topic's complete directory - new messages and old?  It's getting annoying, although I know I most likely brought this upon myself by inadvertently pressing something in my profile setting.  I tried changing some of my profile settings, but nothing seems to fix this issue.  I'm sure it's probably a quick, easy fix.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hey Les:
I figured it out.  Feel like an idiot.  I guess this past week I got into some new habit of only clicking the "F" next to the main topic link.  This will only show me new, unread topics.  I was filtering my own thread inadvertently.  In my mind [as scattered as it is sometimes], I remembered clicking the actual link to the left of the "F", but after slowing down and watching what exactly I was doing, this was not the case.

It was, however, your suggestion that helped me come to this conclusion in a round-about way.  Once I logged out and tried to view a topic header, I would get this weird message stating "no access - only registered users have access to this section".  Something I never received before.  I then realized I was clicking the "F" and not the actual topic header link.  Stupid!

Thanks for the suggestion.  Although it wasn't necessarily the problem, it led me to the solution.
