I'm not going to pretend this is a high end tool but I like my Ryobi 18V reciprocating saw. With lithium ion batteries it does quite a bit of work before needing a charge. I have 3 batteries, 2 chargers, two drills, circular saw, brad nailer, and impact tool. So I am pretty invested in Ryboi. The reciprocating saw has some slop in the blade side to side but you do not need tools to change blades and once the blade is started, the slop disappears. I'd use the Ryobi, for sure, up on the roof before I strung a cord for my DeWalt corded model. I'm make sure I have 4 lights on the battery, however (the better Ryobi batteries have charge indicators).
