Ran into a situation today where I was carefully cutting out some beveled cedar siding around some windows with my ts75 and a rail screwed to the wall.
Unfortunately, two of the large windows in the family room are moderately close to the rockwork chimney outside in between. Close enough for several of the rocks to block my ts75. I tried to search , but didn't see any specific dimensions listed for the 55 saw. Is the motor body less wide than the 75? I only need another 3/4" or so.

'Sorry but I'm tired... The image below shows my 55 against my 75.

I hope this helps.

The motor housing overhangs the left hand side of the rail by 0.6", as accurately as I can measure it.

I hope this helps.

Here are two more pictures that might help - one measured to the rail and the other measured to the edge of the saw base.

Good luck

Excellent, folks! These pics are exactly what I needed. Off to the dealer for me after work! :D
Thanks all!

Now that is a reason to get a TS55 I never would have thought of.  [blink] I mean that is actually a legitimate justification  [big grin]

Hah! Yeah, I've got that problem too.:D
Just got the saw a few hours ago, and am looking forward to using it on the overhead cuts rather than trying to hold the ts75 with one hand on a ladder! :o
It'll get its maiden voyage when I finish up the job tomorrow.
